Original recipe yields 24 servings
2 cups flour, sifted
2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, divided
2 tsp. zest and 1 Tbsp. juice from 1 orange
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup cherry jam
1 tsp. water

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Beat butter, sugar and 1 egg in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add orange zest, juice and vanilla; beat until blended. Add flour mixture; mix well. Shape dough into 2 balls; flatten each into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 3 hours.

Roll out each disc to 1/4-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut into rounds with 3-inch cookie cutter, rerolling scraps as necessary. Place on baking sheets. Refrigerate 15 min. Heat oven to 350°F.

Spoon 1 tsp. jam onto center of each round. Beat remaining egg with water; brush edges of dough with egg wash. Fold in edges to form triangle; pinch dough firmly to seal seams and enclose filling.

Bake 15 to 18 min. or until edges are golden brown. Cool on baking sheet 5 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
