What You Need
Original recipe yields 6 servings
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup PLANTERS Pecans, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1-1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
2 egg s
1/2 tsp. vanilla
8 slices Texas toast white sandwich bread, cut into thirds
2 Tbsp. butter, divided
1/2 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup

Let's Make It
Mix flour, nuts, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in shallow bowl. Add milk, cream cheese spread, eggs and vanilla; mix until blended.
Melt 1 Tbsp. butter in large nonstick skillet or griddle on medium heat. Dip bread sticks into batter; drain excess batter back into bowl. Cook, in batches, 3 to 5 min. on each side or until golden brown.
Repeat with remaining butter and bread sticks. Serve warm with syrup for dipping.
Serve with fresh fruit.
Prepare using 8 (1-inch-thick) bread slices cut from your favorite loaf of white bread or cinnamon raisin bread.
Substitute maple syrup for the maple-flavored or pancake syrup.
