Original recipe yields 20 servings
1 Tbsp. water, divided
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 cups whipping cream
1/3 cup bourbon
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add 2 tsp. water to cornstarch in small bowl; stir until dissolved.
Cook cream, bourbon and sugar in medium saucepan on medium heat 15 min., stirring frequently. Add butter and vanilla; cook and stir 1 min. or until butter is completely melted and sauce is well blended.
Stir in cornstarch. Bring just to boil, stirring constantly; pour into serving bowl.
Microwave caramels and remaining water in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring every 30 sec. Drizzle over bourbon sauce.
