What You Need
Original recipe yields 4 servings
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 tsp. oil
1/2 cup chopped seeded poblano chile s
1/4 cup chopped onion s
2 tsp. LEA & PERRINS Worcestershire Sauce
3 oz. Mexican chorizo, cooked, drained
4 hamburger bun s, toasted
1/4 cup HEINZ Ketchup Blended with Real Jalapeño
3/4 cup crumbled queso fresco

Heat grill to medium heat.
Shape ground beef into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties; grill 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (160ºF).
Meanwhile, heat oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Add chiles and onions; cook 6 to 8 min. or until tender and evenly browned, stirring occasionally. Stir in Worcestershire sauce; cook 1 min. Add chorizo; cook 1 to 2 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently.
Spread chorizo mixture onto bottom halves of buns; top with burgers, ketchup and queso fresco. Cover with tops of buns.
Pair these spicy burgers with fresh fruit salad.
How to Toast the Buns
Add buns, cut sides down, to the grill for the last few minutes of the burger grilling time to toast until lightly browned.
How to Handle Fresh Chile Peppers
When handling fresh chile peppers, be sure to wear disposable rubber or clear plastic gloves to avoid irritating your skin. Never touch your eyes, nose or mouth when handling the peppers. If you've forgotten to wear the gloves and feel a burning sensation in your hands, apply a baking soda and water paste to the affected area. After rinsing the paste off, you should feel some relief.
