Let's Make It
Heat oven to 350°F.
Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in medium bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour, beating well after each addition. Reserve half the dough for later use; press remaining dough onto bottom of 9-inch square pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 10 to 12 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Meanwhile, cook figs, water, honey and cinnamon in saucepan on medium heat 5 to 8 min. or until figs are tender and most the liquid is cooked off, stirring frequently.
Spread fig mixture onto crust; top with nuts. Place reserved dough between 2 sheets of waxed paper; roll out to 9-inch square. Remove and discard top piece of waxed paper. Place dough, waxed paper side up, over fig layer in baking pan; remove and discard waxed paper. Use tip of sharp knife to score top crust into 20 bars.
Bake 15 to 20 min. or until fig mixture is hot and bubbly, and top crust is golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars to serve, following scored lines in top crust.

After rolling out the reserved dough between the sheets of waxed paper, cut it into strips; place over fig mixture in pan before baking as directed.
