What You Need
Original recipe yields 8 servings
1/2 cup KRAFT Olive Oil Vinaigrettes - Balsamic, divided
1 small red onion, cut lengthwise in half, then sliced crosswise
4 cloves garlic, minced
8 cups shredded red cabbage
1-1/2 cups fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth

Let's Make It
Heat 1/4 cup vinaigrette in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook 8 min. or until onions are lightly browned, stirring frequently.
Add cabbage; cook and stir 4 min. or just until cabbage is wilted.
Stir in broth; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min. Add remaining vinaigrette; stir. Simmer, covered, 15 min. or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
Add 1 cup finely chopped peeled Granny Smith apple to cooked onion mixture in skillet along with the cabbage.
This tasty side can be prepared ahead of time. Cool, then refrigerate up to 2 days before reheating before serving.
