What You Need
Original recipe yields 8 servings
1-1/4 cups 2% milk
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces
1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked
3 cups KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheeses
1/4 tsp. paprika

Let's Make It
Heat oven to 350°F.
Whisk egg, 2% milk, evaporated milk and pepper until blended.
Spread butter onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with layers of half the macaroni, and half of each of the shredded cheeses. Pour half the egg mixture over ingredients in baking dish. Repeat layers of macaroni and shredded cheeses. Cover with remaining egg mixture.
Bake 30 min. or until heated through, stirring after 15 min. Sprinkle with paprika.
Add layers of 2 cups chopped mixed bell peppers (green, red and/or yellow) between the other layers before baking mac and cheese as directed.
