What You Need
Original recipe yields 16 servings
1 cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)
3/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Heat oven to 350°F.
Mix egg, bananas and MIRACLE WHIP until blended. Combine all remaining ingredients except nuts in large bowl. Add banana mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are evenly moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Bake 55 min. to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes clean. Cool 10 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
For easier slicing, wrap bread and store overnight before slicing to serve.
Look for ground flax seed in the health food section of your grocery store. If you have whole flax seed on hand, you can grind that in a coffee grinder before measuring and using as directed.
